Texture & Pigment Correction
At Chrysalis Skin & Scars, Texture & Pigment Correction is a clinically guided treatment approach designed to improve uneven skin tone, irregular surface texture, and pigment imbalance through structured dermal remodeling and regulated cellular renewal.
Skin texture and pigmentation are influenced by the organization of collagen within the dermis and the distribution of melanin within the epidermis. When these systems become disrupted, due to inflammation, sun exposure, acne, hormonal changes, aging, or prior injury, the result may include roughness, enlarged pores, uneven tone, hyperpigmentation, hypopigmentation, or surface irregularities.
Our treatment philosophy targets the biologic mechanisms underlying these changes.
Using advanced laser resurfacing, controlled collagen induction therapies, radiofrequency stimulation, and targeted pigment-specific modalities, we initiate a regenerative response within the skin. These treatments encourage fibroblast activation, organized collagen remodeling, and regulated melanocyte behavior, supporting smoother texture and more uniform tone over time.
Each protocol is customized following a comprehensive evaluation of:
Skin type and Fitzpatrick classification
Pigment pattern and depth
Vascular contribution to discoloration
Dermal thickness and collagen integrity
History of inflammation or prior treatments
Because both collagen regeneration and pigment stabilization are gradual physiologic processes, improvement occurs progressively. Our approach emphasizes controlled stimulation rather than aggressive resurfacing, allowing the skin to rebuild in a structured and sustainable manner.
In cases where pigment irregularity is layered or complex, combination therapies may be recommended to address both vascular and melanin-based components.
This is not cosmetic masking.
It is strategic biologic correction.
Texture and pigment changes can subtly affect how skin reflects light, how makeup sits, and how confident someone feels without coverage. Our goal is to restore balance at the tissue level, improving smoothness, clarity, and overall skin harmony through evidence-based care.
At Chrysalis, meaningful refinement begins beneath the surface, where structure and tone are rebuilt together.
