Hidradenitis Suppurativa Support Inflammation-Conscious Skin Restoration
At Chrysalis Skin & Scars, our Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS) Support program is designed to provide clinically informed care for individuals managing the complex skin changes associated with this chronic inflammatory condition.
Hidradenitis Suppurativa is characterized by recurrent inflammatory nodules, abscess formation, sinus tracts, and progressive scarring, most commonly affecting intertriginous areas such as the underarms, groin, and inner thighs. Over time, repeated inflammation can lead to fibrotic tissue formation, pigment irregularities, textural disruption, and compromised skin barrier function.
Our approach does not aim to treat the underlying systemic condition — which remains under medical management — but rather to support the structural and cosmetic restoration of affected skin once active inflammation is medically stabilized.
We focus on:
Scar remodeling and textural refinement
Pigment restoration for post-inflammatory discoloration
Barrier repair and inflammation-conscious hydration
Lymphatic support when appropriate
Controlled collagen stimulation in stable tissue
Timing is critical. Active flares, open lesions, or unstable inflammatory activity are not appropriate for intervention. All treatments are initiated only when disease activity is controlled and skin integrity allows for safe procedural care.
Each patient undergoes a comprehensive evaluation of:
Scar maturity and fibrotic density
Pigment contrast and post-inflammatory changes
Tissue mobility and contracture risk
Current medical management status
Because HS-affected tissue may be more reactive, our protocols are conservative and progressive. We prioritize tissue stability and controlled remodeling over aggressive resurfacing.
This is not cosmetic correction.
It is structured support for compromised skin.
Hidradenitis Suppurativa can carry significant physical discomfort and emotional impact. Our goal is to provide a clinically safe, respectful environment where restoration is approached with precision and compassion.
At Chrysalis, we work with your skin’s biology — supporting recovery, improving integration, and helping restore confidence over time.
